Heh heh heh...guess I won't have to mudwrestle her after all. ;)

The best part (I watched it on YouTube) was the look of frustration and pique on her face. Granted, after a certain point Powers mainly just didn't let her get a word in edgewise, but that's pretty karmic considering that Coulter's debate style has always been "I win because I can talk louder and more obnoxiously than you!!!"

Joe Dante directed an episode of "Masters of Horror" on Showtime, written by Sam Ham that parodied Anne Coulter beautifully. It was one of those "what if" type stories.

An ultra conservative talking head (male) tries to score points on a talk show in an exchange with a mother whose son died in iraq by saying and I paraphrase.. "Well m'am, if your son and the others who died there could come back from the dead, I'm sure they would tell you that they didn't die in vain as you say. And, I'mn sure he would vote for our president's re-election" The 'Anne" character is on the show with this guy, loves what he says so much she jumps his bones and then all hell breaks loose as the woman's son comes back from the dead along with others, they attempt to cast early ballots and the President and his minions spin it as a great last patriotic act by the zombie soldiers until the zombies m ake it clear they came back to vote him OUT of office. The administration then calls out the Jerry Falwall's to call them demons from hell and when they lose the election, they just "lose" a few millions votes in key states. Then the dead soldiers call up reinforcements from previous wars and worse all hell breaks loose. In the end, the "Anne" character gets shot in the head.

My own take on Anne Coulter is that she is a woman who is enjoying the fruits of femminism and whose lifestyle is completely contrary to the values she promotes. If she succeeds in the culture wars, she won't get to screw married men any more, dye her hair blonde and wear skirts up to "there" in public. I don't believe she really wants to succeed because then she'd not have the power she does. I think she just enjoys hearing the sound of her own voice and will say anything she has to in order to get air time and coverage.

Anne is one of those women like Nancy Grace who has no consience and who clearly feels accountible to know one but themselves. They are never 'wrong' even when proven so and for some reason, the public just adores them.

Boy, I'm in a cantankerous mood today. Please forgive - it will pass.

I guess trAnny's soapbox segment didn't go so swimmingly. And I have to wonder how many people truly concerned about terrorism felt when they heard her say that finding Osama is irrelevent. Tell that to the 9-11 widows and their families. Oh, I forgot, they're too busy enjoying themselves since the deaths of their husbands.

The best thing about that segment is that once Coulter got put in her place and Powers skips over to Michael Brown and trAnny ups and leaves, you actually start hearing some intelligent insights and discussion going on for once--ON FOX! That was the most telling thing for me. I hope all the Bush-lovers watching noticed that.

Anyone like Ann Coulter, who is all mouth, bile, and hatred stemming from a locked-in viewpoint and an atrophied brain, is irrelevant. It's about time she was treated that way for a change.

Perhaps it's small minded of me but I'd love to see some one in the media pushing the idea that bush et al are actually satanists who are out to destroy democracy. A good talker could make it stick.
