I heard a local musician play a tune many St. Pattys days ago (Holiday Inn, Nashua N.H) that I would swear was called "Roland, The Headless Gunner!"...I forget the performers name ...come to think of it, I've forgotten everything about that night (thank goodness!)...Does any one know the song or am I just insane!?!?!?!?Thanks Mudcatters,Scotty...P.S. I checked the database with no results...See Ya

Shh.... Scotty,

Read this very quietly since the folk police are always about. Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner is a bizarre little ditty by a gentleman name of Warren Zevon, written before his recovery from addiction. It is not, I repeat not, folk music exceptin' for this folk Zevon wrote it and sang it. Warren's album, yes vinyl, is in my basement in non-alphabetical order. I think if you tried some pop song site, you might find his lyrics. I might do that for you if my son does not assault me and take away my computer rights. Good luck finding the lyrics.

A ha! Roger, the truth will out. Despite your cunning trick of posting the message four times to confuse us, we noticed your little ahem, indescretion. We will be speaking to your son! In the mean time you are sentenced to reading Niel Diamond lyrics until you scream for mercy!!!

Gee, I always thought "Cracklin' Rosie" was insightful and tuneful.

I have been having the devil of the time on the Internet for the past week. Netscape has given up the dust and won't find anything. It tells me it is searching, but it never activates the modem. I suspect Microsoft (with Internet Explorer) of sabotage. So, I use Explorer, but it requires multiple clicks to get anything done. For example, I tried four times to clear the above submission. I finally just gave up. Obviously it sent all four and never returned me to the forum. Is it just me and my computers (and perhaps my ISP?) Any feedback here or on a personal e-mail would be appreciated.
