Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 11 Oct 06 - 10:02 AM Where's this other thread? |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: Paul from Hull Date: 11 Oct 06 - 10:22 AM I suppose Lox is referring to THIS THREAD Mr McGrath |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 11 Oct 06 - 10:43 AM That seems to be largely about US Manifest Destiny and British Imperialism at present, which is interesting but... |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: Paul from Hull Date: 11 Oct 06 - 10:46 AM I know, I know, but seems to be the nearest thing...or was for a while anyhow |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: Donuel Date: 11 Oct 06 - 12:02 PM Mental illness rates fairly high in what people fear. Same with nukes but actually not as high as fearing a whacko run amok. Both together rate nearly as high on the fear scale as public speaking. Unreasoning bitter hopeless fear is corroding our soul as a nation, our families and our individual health. All fear is local just like politics. In our typical Mr. Rodgers neighborhood: At our school the administrators have been away on school terrorism seminars. They are now all personally on a hair trigger. They are conducting conducting code blue to code red practice lockdowns with the kids on a repetitive basis. People are pulling their kids out of the cub scouts, rumors of predators are shared with the strictest confidence, eye contact with many neighbors is avoided - speech is forbidden by some. Forbidden speech in my opinion is the preferred food for fear. So not talking with a next door neighbor or Iran or N Korea makes an ideal banquet for fear. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: Donuel Date: 11 Oct 06 - 12:15 PM Just who is more mentally ill, Kim or W? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15147009/ W: (lives in a bubble of priviledge and supremacy) "You are in the axis of evil, no option is off the table when it comes to dealing with the likes of you. Hell no we won't talk to you." Kim (lives in a bunker mentality and climate of fear) "We are prepared for the invasion by the great U SAtan ". |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: PoppaGator Date: 11 Oct 06 - 12:38 PM Our friends in the UK and elsewhere around the world, as well as those Americans who are sophisticated enough not to watch late-night TV, may not recognize Dave Letterman's running joke that he's been using on a nearly-nightly basis for several months: "How "bout that Kim Jong Ill . . . and his brother, Menta-Lee Ill?" After so many repeitrions, it shouldn't be funny any more ~ but the nightly studio audience continues to react appropriately with a good laugh... |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: Paul from Hull Date: 11 Oct 06 - 12:47 PM Yes, but thats an audience that needs a 'badoom-tishhh' from the drummer in the resident band to know when to laugh..... Clearly they cant read the word applause even when its flashed up in lights. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: Kaleea Date: 11 Oct 06 - 01:00 PM I've been watching a terrific Korean drama which is caled "Seoul 1945." I tells the story of 4 young Korean people who meet in 1945, & follows them for a few years unraveling the story of how Korea was divided--from the Korean point of view. That's something I never heard before. It shows how the wrong people (from the point of view of the average Korean person wanting a Free Korea) were PLACED into power by USA & Russia. It's easy to see how a critter like Menta-Lee's brother could be dictator--oops, I mean Pres of the North. A critter who's Pres & is a $$ & power greedy man, unlawfully, immorally, with propaganda & lies who's not truly elected by the majority of the people. hmmm. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: Old Guy Date: 11 Oct 06 - 01:42 PM Bobert: "I'm so happy that North Korea has a bomb!!!" |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: McGrath of Harlow Date: 11 Oct 06 - 02:53 PM That's a quote from another thread, I take it, and therefore removed from whatever context it occurred in. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: beardedbruce Date: 11 Oct 06 - 02:57 PM Bobert's entire contribution: "Subject: RE: BS: Axis of Evil goes nuclear From: Bobert - PM Date: 10 Oct 06 - 08:29 PM Well, well, gol danged well... Hooray!!! I'm so happy that North Korea has a bomb!!! Maybe they will sneak it into Crawfish, Texas next time Bush shows up for a brush cuttin photo-op??? Nah, maybe they will give it away to Osoma bin Lost and he'll sneak it into Crawfish, Texas next time Bush shows for a brush cuttin' photo-op??? Nah, maybe they will now be able to sleep at night not havin' to fear that big-bad-brush-cuttin'-Bush won't screw with 'um... The dumbest thing in my memory that a prsident of the US ever did was telegraph his intentions to screw up 3 counties... Yeah and if we do a little review here looks as if all 3 have srewed up George Bush... The US doesn't need a constitutional ammendment to outlaw gay marriage... Or one to outlaw flag burning but... ... if sho nuff could use one that prevents anyone who wears cowboy boots from runnin' for president!!! Bobert " |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: JohnInKansas Date: 11 Oct 06 - 04:33 PM Seen recently: B: "The only way you could get in power was by inheriting it from yo' daddy." KJI: "Back at ya' buddy.... ? John |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: GUEST,lox Date: 11 Oct 06 - 04:58 PM I understand the joke ... Kim jong Ill inherited power from his dad and Little Bush would never have got anywhere without Big Bush. However I also have to wonder why, in two threads about north Korea, one is about the USA, and the other is full of exerpts from it. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kim Jong Ill - Mentally Ill From: JohnInKansas Date: 11 Oct 06 - 05:10 PM lox - Mental illnes is clustered? John |
