Hmmm, I did sign up to mudcats but cant seem to log in now :(

It's 2:30am and im in the house on my own playing whiskey in the jar to myself after a a bottle of sainsbury's strong dry cider seems to have gone down too fast and I realise its now my birthday :). Great....

....execpt im on my own :(

(now at this point I want to point out that i live with my girlfriend but she has to work tonight and i'm not as sad as I sound reading that back)

Anyway just seeing if any mudcatters can make me feel a bit more social :)

Well, here's one for starts, from Laurel Maryland. Struggling with a slow computer and trying to troubleshoot it while catching up on a few loose ends, but there's always time to shout out to someone who needs it. Except, of course when my computer froze up last night while trying to send one out to a Catter friend. So I'll just leave things at hello for now. Hope she gets back soon with greetings and surprises.

I guessed it would be mostly american B'day wishes if any came through :)

I'm from good ol' North East UK near the sea where alot of us youngungs (hmmm is 27 still classed as a youngung, cos I don't feel like an oldun yet? :S ) still get brought up on folk music :) which is probably why i've got an irish girlfriend.

Not really got into the american folk stuff as of yet but Nickel Creek caught my ear this year when i heard them on BBC radio 2 and I saw them live at cambridge and they played a really good set, a few more bands like that and Primus and I think you may have a convert :)
