I heard the other day (on Fox News of course) that Air America, the Liberal talk radio network is filing for bankruptsy. How sad. Evidently Georgoe Soros and his buddies got tired of pouring money down a dry hole. Anybody going to miss it?

Here I thought for a moment that the CIA was losing their tax paid for special opt's free ride transport system. Spare a thought for their creditors (apart fom banks and insurers). Chapter 11 is a powerful tool for the rich to steal from the poor.

It's still a sign that Air America isn't succeeding on its own merits, which in its turn suggests that unlike Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly, and Rush Limbaugh, they simply haven't any.

America is turning permanently away from the collectivist-socialist Left and back to real virtue, can-do-ness, and individual control and responsibility. This can be nothing but good.

I'm well beyond applying for jobs anywhere, Ron my friend, at Wal-Mart or anywhere else.

I'm a bit surprised that the Liberal contingent here at the Mudcat couldn't raise enough money among themselves, though, to keep Air America on the air. Otherwise how shall your message of despair and defeat reach the general population? Oh, I forgot, if the general population had listened to Air America, it might still be on the air.

Well, Doug, as you may recall, you suggested that a likely reason some of us were criticizing Walmart was that we had been turned down for jobs there.

So I suggested that you apply for one of the jobs in question---which was just as likely as the suggestion you made.

And, as I said, a possible reason Air America is in financial straits is that its supposed audience-- unlike the Neanderthals who not only listen to Limbaugh, Hannity, et al., but actually believe the tripe they hear on those wonderfully informative programs--does not feel the need to have the party line--any party line-- spoon-fed to them. They prefer to do their own research--and their own thinking.

I've seen amazingly little independent thinking on the part of the Limbaugh, etc. devotees. No doubt this explains the brilliant success of Mr Bush and his regime in the propaganda campaigns he has used, especially the one which resulted in the Iraq invasion--and the 2004 campaign.

Propaganda is always more effective when a good portion of the electorate is sheep.

My own primary choice of information source is, as I've said before, that well-known leftist rag, the Wall St Journal--the actual reporting.

And unfortunately, Mr. Bush does not always come out a hero, to put it mildly.

I don't know about other liberals, but I never spend any time listening to any of those loudmouth opinionated propagandists, left or right. I do believe that Rush Limbaugh is popular because there are so many people who thrive on negativity and he shovels it out by the ton. Have you ever noticed that the news is always bad? Bobert, Clear Channel cares about money...and only money....in fact many of Air America's stations are Clear Channel owned. My local station is one of them...and they sy that even if Air America goes away....this station and its left wing programs will remain.
