Subject: Tune Req: Beauty of Kashmir From: friskett Date: 04 Dec 06 - 09:46 AM Hello, I see there is a link to the tune for "The Beauty of Kashmir" here at mudcat, but unfortunately the link is broken -- no .midi file at the other end ("404 Not Found Error"). Does anyone have that .midi file, that they could post? tx. |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Beauty of Kashmir From: friskett Date: 04 Dec 06 - 10:38 AM Yes, I believe it's the same song, going by an old thread here at mudcat. Any chance you have the .midi file? tx. |
Subject: RE: Tune Req: Beauty of Kashmir From: Cats Date: 04 Dec 06 - 12:54 PM Please bear in mind that in Cadgwith it is sung much faster than it tends to get sung in sessions and that there is no rising up as high as you can get in the chorus - then away - it stops after 8 notes and you get a wonderful, almost 'crushed' chord there. |

Subject: RE: Tune Req: Beauty of Kashmir From: Lady Nancy Date: 05 Dec 06 - 04:49 AM Hi Friskett I've done a manuscript of the tune for you but I don't seem to be able to blue-clicky it or send it here! I'm not computer-literate enough! PM me and give me an e-mail address so I can copy-and-paste it to you. It is a Midi file playable in (free version) Personal Composer, or you can plonk it out on a piano or whatever. It's a great song! Enjoy singing it - I do! LN |

I live in California, and judging by your phone number, you're somewhere in the UK, so we might need to arrange a time that's not in the middle of the night for you. (UK time is eight hours ahead of us.) |
