Tony and I were made very welcome at the Malt Shovel in Worthington nr Ashby de la Zouch last Monday night by our friends Paul and Dawn who are the landlords.

The session is 2nd Tuesday of the month and is quite a mix of genre. It was great to listen to classical guitar; harmonica; various styles of singing; poems.

We had to find the village in the dark, so were pleased to travel home in the light... however it poured down all the way home on the A5.

Hope to go again in better weather.

fliss & tony

ps I forgot to ask if there were any Mudcatters there!

Hoping to be at the session on October 8th. Have our invite from Paul and Dawn, so must remember to pack concertina and guitar when we go away for that weekend. We are going to the 40s event at the Midland Railway museum at Butterley.

cheers
fliss & Tony
