Since there were no squid, giant or otherwise, available (so he says), I was presented with Frogmen Vs. Radioactive (& Giant) Octopus -- good though!

A statuette of St. Gertrude, patron saint of cats

AND the Cat Lady action figure.

Also, sort of music related (since it's probably an elaborate hoax -- but exceptionally well done), a lovely copy of "An Incomplete History of the Art of the Funerary Violin" -- I wonder if there's a CD available?

a couple days at the beach with the dogs, good food, loving company, a great storm to watch and the memories thereof (none of which, incidentally, takes up any scarce shelf, drawer or closet space).
