Here is a link to the web cam at Old Faithful in Yellowstone.

Here is a page of web cam links from Montana, where I live. Click here
We were talking in chat about what it is like in many places of the world where Mudcatters live. Bozeman, in Western Montana, where I live, is very different than Eastern Montana, where the Custer Battlefield is located. Eastern is the dry high desert plains, Western is Rocky Mountains, rivers, lakes, forests, waterfalls.

Web cam view of your Mudcatter home area?

Neat idea for a thread, Alice.

After searching, I've decided western Colorado needs some decent webcams. Most of the ones I found are either not working, are someone's boring backyard, or traffic cams. I did find One Site which has I70 cams which are sort of interesting, but none of them are very near to us.

No webcam, but there are some nice photos of our local ski resort, about an hour's drive or more from us, though we look at the Grand Mesa, where it is, everyday: Powderhorn.

One not-too-boring backyard in someone's webcam of the Colorado National Monument about 30 minutes from us.

Here is Race Rocks near where I live on Southern Vancouver Island. Unfortunately, today you can't see the sea lions because it looks as if the lens is fogged up a bit on Camera 1. We had another wild wind and rain storm storm last night and it may have affected the viewing somewhat.

Really dark and snowy up there right now, ain't it? But if you can possibly do it, visit Yellowstone in the Winter. Take the snowcoach tour (wear eyeplugs). It's something you'll never regret.

Here's (almost) the view from my boss's window: University of Arizona webcam.

From that page, the "Recent Images" link takes you to a page that gives a visual overview of the weather for the past week, and you can click on a day to get the speeded up version. This is often quite boring -- too much blue sky. (Some of you might say this is not possible, but it's all a matter of what you're used to -- or tired of!)

If you go to the "Photo Album" you'll find some interesting images that have been saved -- view of fire on the mountains, interesting weather, etc.

There are also links to campus construction web cams -- if you sat and watched the "Family & Consumer Sciences" view, you might see me on my way to or from the bus or lunch, as this project is immediately north of the building I work in. :-)

Here is a lijnk to theLittle Bighornwecam--the one that is working at the moment, though it may be stuck in one spot. Theoretically there are two of them and they move around every few minutes, but often are on the blink. Like Alice said, high dry desert plains.

When my daughter was headed to Vegas for her 21st birthday, her and her girlfriend told us to have a look href="http://www.wyoroad.info/highway/webcameras/GreenRiverTunnelE.html">here.

They had jumped out of the car, and waved at us in the webcam!

Tomorrow Hill Farm in the Grand Valley (CO) scroll down for the webcam. Some really interesting links to other info on the farm. Hmmm, there's a larger image of that webcam HERE.

Here's one of my very favourite places on the western slope of Colorado: Mt. Sopris webcam. It is 12,953 feet in altitude.

The I80 summit is always fun to look at, esp. when the weather is kicking up. It's the one Rog calls the "sno-chi-min trail:" Click. Oops, maybe not so fun, today: click

There's a bunch of other WY ones on This Page
