Does anyone have the guitar cords for this song? It's on her latest CD - Death among the Yearlings. Tks!

"Caleb Meyer" by Gillian Welch & David Rawlings is a simple two chord song. The actual chords are D#m & C#. However, capo on the 1st fret and play it as Dm, C. There's actually a bit more to it than that since there are lots of embellishments you can add to play the chords and melody at the same time. However, if you start with these chords and play along with the CD you should get the hang of it. Alternatively, capo to the 6th fret and play Am, G. I'm not sure which version Gillian Welch uses so you'll have to decide which one sounds best for you.

Cut 'n' pasted from the results of a Google search (Hyphenating the words got the best result.)
No idea how the formatting will look:

Nowhere man and the whiskey girl,

Nowhere man and the whiskey girl,

They loaded up for a weekend in the underworld.
2. I'd take you down, honey, if I could.
I'd take you down, honey, if I could.
We'd find a place in the sunshine. We'd be feeling good.

They loaded up for a weekend in the underworld.

Miner's Refrain

In the black dust towns of East Tennessee
All the work's about the same
You may not go to a job in the ground
But you'll learn the miner's refrain

I'm down in a hole
I'm down in a hole
I'm down in a deep dark hole

They search the rain for a silver cloud
And they wait on days of gold
When you're pitched to the bottom and the dirt comes down
You'll cry so cold, so cold

I'm down in a hole
I'm down in a hole
I'm down in a deep dark hole

There's something good in a worried song
For the trouble in your soul
Cause a worried man's been a long way down
Down in a deep dark hole

I'm down in a hole
I'm down in a hole
Down in a deep dark hole

Ray, I hope you find this. Generally it is best to put the title of your request in a new thread so that it is easier to find later.

Has anyone done a Mudcat search to see if any of those at that site have been posted? If not I will, and post them. If anyone else want to post them-- please see FAQ for how to post songs first! *G*
