Look here, aul' salt, the mate wants me to speak to you about your risky habits. You're not getting any younger, you know, and you're not as flexible as you were thirty years ago. So this habit of yours of just having a birthday every year, well, we're worried about it, you see. The effects can be cumulative, and having too many of the damn things is highly statistically correlated with cession of vital functions, and the mate says that would be really hard on morale. I've known Barry nigh on thirty years and he hasn't aged a bit; no wrinkles no grey hairs. Although I have seen him looking less than perfect a couple times.

Besides, he's the only friend for whom I can't buy a birthday drink.

And thanks to all the rest of you, you're a very sweet bunch. I must be getting younger. My niece facebooked my from the west coast last night to say HB & it was past midnight & I forgot all about it. So I celebrated last night before going to sleep ( had a cracker & a glass of milk) & I woke up today & celebrated again. Not often something comes around once a yr & you get to celebrate it twice.

Andrew & Carloe, I saw that you'll both be in Scarborough too, that's fantastic, we'll party. I won't be with Neil (family health issues), I'll be with Ken Schatz - Finn & Laddie, ha,ha see you then, we can do my birthday thing all over again

Last time I drove on the left side of the road was in Ireland, I totaled the rental car, that was over 20 yrs ago, bad news for the guy that hired me to take him on tour. I don't think I've improved much with practice.
