No offence meant, DD, but his name is spelled Conolly. I'll look for lyrics, although there is a best selling authoy named John Connolly--great mystery writer, but sure screws up the search for the songwriter/singer.

Chorus starts

DD, I'm coming up empty. I wonder if people from various rushbearing festival sites might be able to give you a lead?

The only Weary Winter lyrics I'm finding have to do with that heathen, Robert Burns.
