The Nonesuch label was the one that put out the superb album titled The Real Bahamas, whereon we all heard the glorious "I Bid You Goodnight" for the first time. Joseph Spence and the Pindar Family were the artists. I think the same recording is now available as a CD from Rounder, but with a different title. Can we get Wally at Camsco to confirm that?

Speaking of great recordings by Frank Hamilton, though, I saw a notive on the FOLKDJ-L listserv of his new CD being ready for shipment to DJs around the country. I hope a few of those "folk" DJs will depart from their usual omphaloscopic musical programming long enough to play something as "rooted" as Frank's music.

But let's get Frank, himself, to tell us about his new release. Are you out there now, Frank?

Sandy
