SAT.Dec.,20th, "ELSIE`S" Annual Mummimg Night. Kick Off 8.30 pm. Once again, for the umpteenth year, "Elsie`s Band" and the Cowden Mummers will be hosting the usual "Elsie`s" Christmas Night with not only the traditional Mumming Play of St. George overcoming the evil intentions of the Turkish Knight, Mawgor the Dragon and Beelzeebub but there will also be the Christmas carols and seasonal songs and music. Come along with your own contribution to complete the evening. Everyone welcome. See Tony Deane multi-tasking (should the Dragon get lost due to SAT-NAV)and Will Duke deliver a perfect dialogue (to the shame of the rest of the cast) as well as bless us with Scan Tester tunes. Will we get another side splitting set of monologues from Jim Ward? Maybe!! Iris, in the garb of a Japanese Admiral, will be on hand everywhere to ensure discipline and decorum.
