I'm entering this thread as Caroline's typist (any mistakes are hers, of course). She's been talking about a "folk retirement village" for several years. "I have wanted to join in the Mudcat chats for some time, but had to wait until the Christmas rush was over. Sandy has kept me up to date on a number of threads. The idea of a folk retirement communtiy is a great one -- people need an alternative to bingo (maybe banjo?)In the past few years a number of our folk friends have mentioned this idea with enthusiasm. I agree that a retirement community with a 'Pinewoods' atmosphere would be pretty close to heaven on earth." Caroline Paton
