He was probably the last great dancer we may see on film. Those of us who couldn't get to see him live were able to see his wonderful talent on film - although even he never got the exposure he truly deserved. Nowadays they don't give dance roles to proper dancers - just good looking actors who have had a couple of lessons and are made to look better by clever camera angles. A sad loss indeed.
