As I read down this incredibly BS (fun, though) thread, I kept saying to myself "Are there no Deadheads on Mudcat?" Then, as if by magic, "Open Mike" took the works right out of my mouth. I once travelled over 1200 miles for two solitary shows (no touring), and then turned around and drove STRAIGHT home to RI from Birmingham AL (actually I didn't but the nut I was driving with did). Those were the days!
