Thanx Bill and Amos, I'll take a look and see what I can find on that front. Bill that Audacity mp3 thingy is a bit more tricky to use thannthe first. It does allow for recording from line in,and has several fascinating special effects adjustments my only problem is how to save and suitably compress the stuff once as its recorded. I'm determined to suss out how it works, but its all a real eye opener to me to see what can be achieved on just free software with sound using a pc. I might have to bite the bullet and buy a software package eventualy.... Thanx again guys and I'll watch this thread to see if you or anyone else suggests a brilliant free sound studio available on the net. Regards. Jim Clark.
