This may be obvious to some, but, I'm amased at the number of time I've heard people say "Some one stole my guitar." I say "Did you record the serial number?" "No, never thought of it." If you can supply the police with the serial numbers, they go into the NCIC crime list, and, who ever gets caught with that instrument, his ass is grass. I've had a tv stolen, plus a vcr, and I got them both back because I gave the numbers to the police. The vcr had finger print powder all over it, but, I got it back!
