Just to let all you folk there who want to learn a Scots Gaelic song but not quite sure how to start? there is a new teaching resource available from Highland Council entitled "Seinn o ho ro Seinn" - it consists of a double CD set of 40 of the most popular Gaelic songs, sung clearly without accompaniment,by well known Highland singer Fiona Mackenzie then followed with the SPOKEN word by Arthur Cormack, of Cliar. It is accompanied by a book of lyrics and translations and has been much acclaimed across the world as an excellent way to learn songs with a good pronunciation guide- has been in the Scots bestsellers list since Novemebr.
