For 17th century copies, entitled "The Sinner's Redemption", see item ZN112 in the broadside index at www.pbm.com\~lindahl\ballads\17thc_index.html. Original tunes cited are "The bleeding heart", unknown, and "In Crete", which is in C. M. Simpson's British Broadside Ballad and Its Music.
