Hi all,It does seem like Yorkshire is the mudcat capital of the UK. I have been reading/logging on? for over a year now.Since I got wired! or online. Mudcatters seem to be the most helpful folkie folk you will ever meet. Everyone tries to help each other. I noticed the "Old Dun Cow" was back on the list. It was up this time last year. The problem with Mudcat is how much time you spend enjoying like minded people with such diverse ideas but the love of folk music. Try the Cleckheaton folk festival in July 2000. it happens every year. Small but really beutiful. I go every year as I live here. Didn't manage Whitby but did Fylde a couple of weeks ago. Is there going to be a UK mudcat meet somewhere in Yorkshire at sometime? Please let me know. By the way, I play guitar, a bit of banjo, a bit of blues harp and try my hand at anything. Anyone want to work collaboratively or just jam-bear in mind that I ain,t that ggod, but as an old man (well 50!!) I've been into folk since the mid 60's and never lost interest.By the way my wifes parents live in Selby, I used to live in York so I know it quite well. See you keep plucking or strumming or bowing or whatever. Eric-the Viking.
