True story - My mother was at the Edgewater Beach Hotel (Chicago) in the 1920's - the regular band was Isham Jones. At a break, she and her friends went up to talk to Isham - he was at the piano and said he had just written a song, and wondered what they thought - he played "I'll see you in my dreams."
