Sam L smoking makes you stupid (160* d) RE: smoking makes you stupid 29 May 04

No. The sensible justification of smoking is that you want to die. Especially all the smug self-righteous pea-brained idiots in the world, they make you want to die. Remember the years before you were born? Wasn't too bad, really. Nobody missed you.

The psychological interest of smoking is, I think, aesthetic distance. And maybe punctuation. It breaks things up, like commas, and you sit back, look, and have to laugh, I think.

Who says the human life-span should be this long, or this long, or this much longer. The fact is the average life span is growing faster than the average reasons for living. Unless it's a good thing to hang around to take reductive pot-shots at dead people like Rick Fielding whose lives were probably more worthwhile than yours if you live to be a thousand you sick-minded child, you dim pitiable window-licking forgetable face on a bus going nowhere.

What kind of rat-cheese notion of intelligence, (exactly as if life was mathmatical, or monetary, exactly the same sort of stupid) what crowd-up-to-the-school-cafeteria lunch-line rationale is there for wanting to gnaw up every second of life you can grubbily claw at? To be sure you get your chicken patty and jello, by God? So you can sit around typing on the internet about how you're much righter than other people? Nice. Get hit by a bus already, you're wasting space some younger decent person could use.
