I believe the lawsuit has only been brought by two or three employees. The class action part makes it include everyone, whether they agree with it or not. And don't people get an choice to opt out of a class action suit? If so, the suit may end up including a lot less people.

I have a female friend who's worked for Wal-Mart for years. She's there by choice. If she didn't like it, or thought she was treated unfairly, trust me - she'd go somewhere else in a heartbeat. The job fits her lifestyle and pays for the fun things she likes to do.

That's not to say that some people haven't been treated badly. In a company that large, there's going to be some asshole managers somewhere - but that doesn't necessarily mean it's company policy.
