Bert, I suspect this great melody began as a published polka - possibly that cited above - that may have circulated throughout Northern Europe in the late 19th C. Maybe it was adapted to the folk dance rather than the other way around. On reconsideration, I think Scott shouted, "Haul that CABLE in!" at the end of his performance.
