I don't see Jack making excuses. He seems much more reasonable than that. The excuses from the 'Bush' camp seem to be more along the lines of, "Well, he didn't actually DO anything, and given the circumstances, that was good." OK by me. We then agree to disagree. So, it seems that BOTH sides of the 'argument' agree that he didn't have much going on in his mind. That's what I wanted to establish.
