With reference to 'weelittledrummer's' comments on God Save The Queen - or King, or whatever. It's interesting that this tune of unknown origin has also at different times been used as a National Anthem for a few other countries - Switzerland, Russia, US, Sweden, Denmark and some of the old independant German States. I guess that just like us Brits (and our genes) it's a bit of a mongrel!!!! A memorable tune is a tune that will get itself adapted and will migrate and probably mutate all over the place.
