It's a strange one isn't it, when marriage is 'wierd'? Given that you are talking about your parents and the suddenness of it all which is a bit of a shock to the system I gather - I am always very wierded out these days at any impending nuptials. Yet I was raised with the idea that this was a 'normal' course of events and any variation was 'wierd'. By the same token, friends who have hitched in recent years have made intelligent decisions, I respect them, and also very happy for them. It's just ....... well they were okay anyway. Why spend all the money to get a relationship that existed anyway approved by the state? Or is my era showing?
