Azizi, I read a book on English 'History of English' some time ago. It is in storage in the UK so I cannot give you the author. It was about the historical development of English and was very readable.

In the later chapters it did go into the influence of the changes introduced by people of African origin on US and Caribean English.

There is also some speculation in that book that the Australian accent is one that derives from 18th & 19th century English.
