I have started a small, grossly under funded, not yet known, folk music venue in Bayonne, NJ. It is in the basement of the oldest church in the city. A church that is in desperate need of restoration.

The purpose of this venture is two fold. Firstly to present monthly folk music concerts in this city. From what I can gather from ten years of looking there is none other than this one. Secondly to help the small congregation of the church raise funds to complete the restoration of this historic structure.

The deal is very simple. We ask that those coming to enjoy the music donate $5.00 per person at the door. The take, if you will, is then divided 50/50 between the musician(s) and the church's restoration fund. I take nothing from this, not even reimbursement of my expenses to promote the shows.

Promotion is through flyers in city business' windows, local newspapers, postings to various music boards, my email list, and word of mouth.
