Here's lookin' at ya kids! I now have a date (3rd October) for the operation where the eyeball will be removed, shotblasted, pressure washed, lasered, primed, repainted in red metalflake, lacquered and wax polished. Thanks to the NHS all I have to provide is a pirate eye patch in any colour I like as long as it's black. Parrots are optional I am told. And, no, it is not an over the top tribute to Horatio, Lord Nelson although I hope to be able to see enough to find the rum bottle on the 21st. At least it means I should be fit for Flanders in November hurrah!
