Hullfish published "The Canaller's songbook : words, music, and chords to over thirty canal songs" York, Pa. : American Canal and Transportation Center, c1984. The Songbook includes many songs from Pearl Nye, d. 1957, who sang and wrote many songs about the Ohio and Erie Canal. He was recorded by Cloea Thomas in the early 1950's and she published a collection of his songs "Scenes and Songs from the Ohio-Erie Canal. I knew Cloea Thomas, and, when she died, I was given her collection of Nye photos and manuscripts. I've donated copies to the Library of Congress. Many of the songs I know are not included in Hullfish or Thomas's collection. I'd be glad to share. I'd also be interested in the collection that Skip mentioned. Dick Swain, rswain@wcupa.edu
