Well, I don't listen much to pop radio anymore (what I do hear and know a bit about I get through osmosis from our childen - a fourteen y/o singing lass into Kelly Clarkston; and, a seventeen y/o little drummer boy into heavy metal) but Lou will be missed. A great voice
with a wonderful presentation. He was in town here in Fort Worth at
the Bass Hall a short time ago doing a split show - the first half being a tribute to Sinatra and the second half doing his own thing.
I wish it could be said that I was there, but unfortunately it would be untrue.

Since I don't listen to pop radio anymore I don't know if there are any young, real R & B singers out there who will carry the torch; if not, we can only bemoan the loss of those that are slowly going away one-by-one. Like folk music - the only way it stays alive is for us to keep on playing it like there's no tomorrow - or someday it won't have a tomorrow. We'll miss ya' here in Texas, Lou - RIP.
