Hey! Check out Raffi, another great Canadian entertainer for children.....great tunes that don't suffer from over-production, are fun and can have a "message"....he has lots of recordings.... Also "Stewball","Puff the Magic Dragon"? I work with children and to be honest, if they like music, they like to listen to a wide variety....we have Michael Martin Murphy tapes at work that get played frequently (cowboy songs)and the kids love it!
