Thanks for that Terry. TSYT don't know very much about singing (they're more about yoof development) so before I publicised this trip I Googled KM & BC and was pleased to see their pedigree. Neil Kimber is quoted in the publicity article: Neil Kimber, founder member of Kimber's Men and tall ship sailor, said "I first sailed on the tall ships in 2002 and really enjoyed the voyage. I met some fantastic people and it was so evocative sitting on deck, with the wind in the sails, the waves under the bow and the crew sitting together just singing songs. Singing brings everyone together and with no TV or radio to distract you it's a great form of entertainment. You could really imagine yourself back 200 years ago, swabbing the decks and plying the trans-Atlantic tea routes!" Neil said: "Sea Shanties and Tall Ships just go together - so I'm really looking forward to performing onboard. People don't have to worry about being able to sing - it has been said that sea shanties were sung in unison to keep sailors working in time and the majority of seamen couldn't even sing in tune! I'm sure it will the same today so the emphasis will definitely be on having fun".
