Chance, I actually lived in Charleston for a while, my eldest was born there. Loved it very much. Worked near Folly, at the Country Club of Charleston pre-Hugo, and also downtown. That may well be where we end up, a little personal history mixed some lovely scenery ; )

My feeling about Charlottesville (Allan C, forgive me) is that it's very much like Chapel Hill, except for Monticello, which WOULD be cool to see.

Paul, it sure don't rain enough in the Piedmont, but I guess I can see how it would in the mountains. Give it another shot!
