I agree with Big Mick: the data is the data. Although I'm sure Enron and its apologists would disagree, FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) -- decidedly not a part of the World Socialist combine -- has a similarly dim view view of Enron's activities. This is prominently displayed on page 1 of the site linked to by pdq. "January 31, 2005 "FERC trial staff testifies in Enron Gaming case that Enron's profits in Western states from 1997 through 2003 was more than $1.6 billion, and recommends that Enron be required to surrender the full amount." $1.6 billion is pretty substantial impropriety.
