Hello, My understanding is that the "The Beauty of Kashmir" is the Rhododendron. Remember that during the Victorian era many, many plants were imported from all over the world and 'just regular folk' could even get a few of them. "The Beauty of Kashmir" became a nickname of sorts because it was so much admired.
