The Palestine Solidarity Campaign has been campaigning for several years to halt the export of lethal British military equipment to Israel on the grounds that it is being used to attack Palestinian civilians on the illegally occupied West Bank. The equipment exported by British arms companies includes components for Apache helicopters, Merkova tanks, F16 warplanes and converted armoured personnel carries . Campaigners believe that the sale of this equipment is an outrage at a time when hundreds of civilians in Gaza,the West Bank and the Lebanon are being attacked by air,land and sea forces. The Palestine Solidarity Campaign website contains a great deal of information about events in Palestine/Israelincluding the terrible suffering of those wounded by shrapnel from Israeli shellfire.
