Dear Mudcats, In college, a friend used to sing a rather pretty song, with the refrain:
"Don't pass me by, All the folks just stand and stare, They hear my cry. Oh heart of stone, Don't pass me by."
I remember one verse that went:
"You say you'd like to know How much I really love you. I'd rather try, before I die, To count the stars, but yet I cry - "
Does anyone know any more of this, or of its history/origins? Thanks.
