I've got a concert tape of him where he writing Darcy Farrow with Tom Campbell in 1966, that Tom sang it for Ian and Sylvia and the rest is history.

That sentence should read:

I've got a concert tape of him where he said he wrote Darcy Farrow with Tom Campbell in 1966, that Tom sang it for Ian and Sylvia and the rest is history.
