fascinating question. Of course I guess we can all fantisize about favorite holiday spots, but the reality of LIVING there is probaboly quite a bit different. Jayne and I have often thought of living where it is rainy and gloomy and overcast, but if we actually did I am sure it would lose some of its romantic appeal. Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic stands out as a place I think would suit me, as well as Rovinj, Croatia. Seattle, Quebec City, San Frnancisco. Keswick, in the lake district, Ullapool, Scotland, Asheville, NOrth Carolina, these are a few that leap out as places I have fantisized.
