At the Reston Herndon Folk Club in Virginia, before the evening begins the MC usually reminds the audience that if anyone's cell phone, pager or whatever goes off during a performance, that person has just bought the room a round of drinks. Then the MC usually mentions that this is a listening club so talking to anyone but the wait staff during a performance is a big no no. Usually works pretty well. | |||
