GUEST,Nick Origin: Song of the Sea (Ray Hannisian) (30) RE: Who wrote it? 'Song of The Sea' 06 Apr 07

We just did this song in my county chorus festival. It's really beautiful, and I would like a download. I might still have it memorized.

Gone are the days, when I would go traveling
over the sea, as a sailor
Seeking the breeze, my dreams went unraveling,
far from the memories from the shore

my song of the sea, you bring me a melody
of faces and voices that call me
I find myself yearning (tenor) for the sea, the sea (everyone else)for places I used to be
chasing the morning and wandering free

come and sail on the water and follow a star
tomorrow is calling and I must be gone
for we must be sailing to know where we are
we are ships on the sea and must keep movin' on

Ooo, ooo, ooo, oooh, ooo, ooo, ooo, ooo,
I find myself yearning for places I used to be
seeking the morning and wandering free

there's no home for the sailor
On the sea or the sand...
