As Ebbie pointed out...."From an analyst on Fox News: "See, the Canadians don't believe in spending money on an army. What's the point? The Americans are going to defend the continent anyway. Let the dumb Americans pay for it."..... Not sure if that statement is entirely true, but we don't place military spending at the top of the priority list, like the USA. Admit it or not, Canada puts great emphasis on reducing poverty, not just sweeping it under the rug. Thats one reason people flock here from all over the world.(that's another issue, perhaps a new thread is in order). Its a prosperous country, with less emphasis on 'rich vs poor', everyone is equal.
