My apologies for all the threads relating to Celtic Woman. I am new to forums and wasnt aware I was doing anything wrong. I just wanted to give fans a chance to talk about specific performers from CW without interfering with other threads of different subjects. Again, sorry if I wasted anyones time (especially with the thread removal, renaming, etc), and I hope I didn't cause too much grief for anyone. P.S. You seem like a really knowledgable group, and take this forum very seriously. Hopefully, I will learn much here. Have a great night !!

There's nothing at all wrong with talking about the Celtic Women. I like them myself - but there's no need to start a separate thread for each of several interrelated topics, and doing so is seen as obnoxious.

And I'm trying to consolidate all the stuff into one thread, and it's primetime here in California and I have a slow Internet connection, so this does not make Joe a happy camper.

Jeez Joe,sorry again. I guess Im used to a fan site where each performer in a group has his or her own 'cheering section' so to speak. If you like, just delete the whole thing, as there is already a thread for CW reviews. It may save quite some time.

Awg, up at the top of the page you will see a link in blue that says MEMEBERSHIP. Click on that and pick a username and join us. that way you can use our chat function and get Private messages.

New users make mistakes of ettiquette. No biggie. They get sorted out.

Because Mudcat has been around for years, you will likely find that almost every topic you can think of has been discussed at length at least once. Therefore, before opening a new thread, just make some attempt to use the search function to find the older thread. EVen then, the search engine doesn't work 100%, so if you do create a duplicate thread, don't worry. Someone will catch it. members just appreciate it if you search first. One reason for doing this is that you may find your quetion answered and you may also find that the discussion you uncover is a lively one you wish to join!

Are you a big Clannad fan? I was listening to Clannad a lot in college (1982) and my suite-mates hated me for it. "Turn off that Irish Crap" was a frequent insult. Half-way thru freshman year i got tired of it and moved my Irish ass to a suite full of music majors and we stayed together for almost the next 3 1/2 years - only one member defected and that was to study in London.

Hey Jim Lad, I was wondering when you would show up. I was actually GUEST,WG on the thread about 'lip-synching, art or rip off', when I first came to this forum. (and I said those who thought CW was lip-synching were 'brutal') LOL. I still think that, but I admit that I have seen some editing glitches on both DVD's, however, that isnt lip-synch, or miming as some call it. I would love to see a live show so I can put this topic to rest once and for all (at least I would know the truth for sure), but with regards to the DVD from Slane Castle, I have watched the PBS show at least 25 times, and the DVD as many times, (I do have a life, it just winds me down at the end of the day LOL), and can tell people 100% there is NO lip-synching on the DVD. Editing issues, yes, but no lip-synching. If someone has seen something suspicious on the DVD then please by all means let me know, as I would love to see it. Bye for now.
