Yes you are right. That farmer made an awful mistake from the start. He should have asked to get a social worker appointed to his defence, not a lawyer. And a psychiatrist, not a barrister. He should have made faces at the jury and shock hands with the wall. He would never have served on a hour. After the case we could have listed to an expect on the lunchtime news tell us the name of the syndrome he suffers from, craftious.
