As said before, Cáit, in another thread, I have been here quite a long time, and although I recognize people's rights to be as forthcoming with their real id's etc., I also recognize the rights of people who have chosen not to. This does not make me, or any of the other concerned contributors, any more sinister. Nobody knows who I am when I post under my 'handle', so what difference does it make?

The difference is psychological, and is all part of this clique mentality that exists here. I am a 'member', not in the way that most people here define it; and I have the right not to receive personal messages.

I don't feel the need to advertize myself any more than the record company is doing. And whatever about anything else, I am a still a private person with the need both for me and my family to be free from unsolicited mail and the likes.

There are MANY others around here in the same boat. And I am here to learn as well as to offer advice. And I do both. But the BS travels across it's boundaries, and that is what I, and others object to.
