Well, it turns out I have to put my batch of sauce where my mouth is! I was chatting with a San Francisco Firefighter today and, to make a long story short, my faux Woody's is going to be seasoning dinner at a San Francisco Firehouse this weekend. It's a big house too. About 12 to 14 Firefighters there - all hungry - and knowing their food. And they know Woody's. A tougher group of food critics you will not meet! Wish me luck! (I'll need it! I know this crew, and they will not hesitate to point out ANY flaw - real or not). But if it passes muster, we will all know this recipe is on the right track.
